McCain concession speech
McCain just gave a brilliant, gracious concession speech. Mixed applause and boos in the audience. Very clear that if this McCain had been running for president, he would have stood a much greater chance at winning.

French news reports focussed on how McCain ran for a party which he himself didn't really represent; he was far more centrist a figure, a one-time divorcee which goes against the evangelical christian majority of the party's supporters. Plauded for taking the blame on himself rather than the people, the speech was full of integrity. Palin looked teary and glamorous to his right and back-patted to continue doing the best in her role as governor of Alaska.
